He became famous for his discovery of the impact of bodies and, above all, of the refraction and decomposition of light, several years before Newton. Therefore, the logo of the celebration of 450 years of the Palacký University in Olomouc, which will commemorate this anniversary in 2023, is based on the refraction and decomposition of light. In it, the colors of its eight faculties merge to form one university.
