This book is a collection of one hundred and eight contributions based on reports published in 1917 by the Olomouc Catholic-oriented daily Nasnec. “So said Nasnec” does not focus on the events of the First World War, but on its influence on society, period attractions and events that entertained or outrageous the Czech public. The contributions are accompanied by a facsimile of original articles and advertisements, made by the Scientific Library in Olomouc, which together with the texts creates thematic units. The contributions were originally intended for the section “Happened a hundred years ago” broadcast by Czech Radio Olomouc.
