The Paris frangment chronicles the so-called Dalimila and its illuminating decoration

Pavol Black

In an insider’s analysis of the illuminating decoration of the Paris Fragment, the chronicle of the so-called Dalimila follows the author critically on the earlier knowledge of the discoverer of the manuscript F. Avril, as well as our researchers, who helped to clarify the linguistic and historical circumstances of the formation of the codex. The author aptly recognizes the traditional and non-traditional important aspects of illuminating decoration in relation to the domestic historical theme of the chronicle text.
