History of grandmotherhood and the present of midwifery

The history of grandmotherhood is as old as humanity itself. Over the centuries, the name of the profession and education in the field has changed. Famous names are granny navel-sharp, granny, grandmother, midwife, midwife. In ancient times there was no education of birth grandmothers, they were just passed on experience from older grandmothers to younger ones. Education dates back to the 14th century. In the 1920s, charles university in Prague, later there were courses organized by obstetricians, in the 20th century.
