Han Grammar

David Uher

The aim of the monograph is to give the most complete picture of the application of grammatology to a smaller font. The whole issue is first mentioned by the definition of basic grammatological concepts, taking into account their implementation in the Chinese sign font system. The following is a characteristic of the Han era, supplemented by a screen of the beginnings of Chinese grammatology, to which is attached a biography of its most important representative Xu Shen (?54-?125). The Czech translation of the ‘After-Word’ interpretation of characters is classified as a key work for understanding traditional grammatology. The text is followed by a description of the results of the researchers’ research in the next nearly two millennia and concludes with a commentary on the fundamental concepts of Han grammar, i.e. six categories of smaller fonts, graphic styles, and determinants, in their current preview.
