Adolescence, parenting and (homo)sexuality

Zdenek Sloboda

On the book market, a unique publication that provides a comprehensive view of areas that are perceived as problematic or controversial in relation to homosexuality (or other forms of sexuality) – childhood, adolescence, partnerships and, last but not least, the parenting of same-sex couples. The author does not focus isolatedphenomena such as coming out, bullying at school, or how non-heterosexual people become parents, but perceive them in a broader context. The issues of adolescence, the search for identity and partners, relationships with parents and peers, the topic of homosexuality in school, friendly climate in the classroom, the form of unions, parental strategies and other topics are set in a broader concept of sexual diversity and the related understanding of masculinity and womanhood in our contemporary society. The book not only appeals to experts and experts in the fields of pedagogy, sociology, cultural studies, social policy, anthropology, psychology or other disciplines, but is also intended for readers who are interested in this issue and want to get a more complete idea of it.
